i never knew i could get sunburnt from playing cabbage captain's ball and dodgeball. it didn't even feel like a very long time. ARGH??? grrroarrrr.

i'm back!

i spent my new year's thousands of feet above the ground with people sleeping around me. i touched down at the airport at around 2am. and i've never welcomed singapore's weather so much, after spending about a week wrapped up like a dumpling and looking like a terracotta soldier/michelin man. lol. it's nice to not have to wake up and worry about how you're going to keep warm for the rest of the day.

mmm i went with my family, basically it was a mission trip and it extended into a bit of a holiday/sightseeing. my christmas day was spent on a 7 hour van trip bumping around. lol. not fun. we visited and met quite a bit of people and i really got to see what life there is like for them. i sound like i'm doing reflections for some project. T-T people, give thanks for what you have. (:

i bought a chocolate eclair for my brother yesterday, and i'm proud to say i resisted the temptation to eat it. and then i got home at 7-ish and he was sleeping. cuz he just got back from camp. he ate it this morning right after brushing his teeth. i threatened to eat it if he didn't wake up, because we'd be late for service.

yawn a few things have happened but i'm too lazy to detail most of it. there was mich's church camp, i fell ill halfway and had to leave. my eye was red and it was scary ): my whole family has been in and out of the doctor's. between the four of us we've seen the doctor five times. sigh. went for grad night feeling kind of weird.

my mom's been on my case to try out recipes because my brother and i are so picky about food and my new maid can't cook very well. so i made chicken noodle soup. which my brother didn't help with. AND HE ATE IT ALL GRRRROARRRRR. *looks for gun* okay not all, but he ate more than his share and as a result others didn't get to eat. my mom says when i chop veggies i look like i'm doing art and craft. hahaha RIGHT! my cousin darling amanda was over for what, 4 days or something (: and we spent a lot of time bumming around. but we also made cajun jambalaya. my cousin can chop onions and garlic very well. i can't. i guess it's because i'm HOME EC-LESS and RECKLESS with wenqi. i'm proud to say that nobody died from the cooking even though the veg was all cut by the three of us: me, my brother and my cousin (:

right now my cousin's left, my brother's off to camp, and it's just me alone. i finished up half blood prince(yes FINALLY), tearing towards the end (PMS makes me extra emotional T-T) and got my book 17 fruits basket back so i gotta start reading that yay! the house somehow seems so quiet. and don't tell me it's cuz it's 1am in the morning. WELL DUH.

hey hey hey!

to all of you guys who are thinking about getting a job to earn $$$ so you can get something you've been yearning for... FRET NO MORE! hahaha. i sound like a washing powder ad. ehehe.

today i was giving out flyers when this guy came up to me and started asking me about how much i got paid and if i wanted "a change of environment". according to him, he's with a life sciences and biomedical company, and they are expanding and in need of part timers to do things like data entry and making phone calls. i asked him about the pay, and he says it's according to the position or qualifications or something like that. you have to go for an interview, i think. yeah. please sms me if you want his number to contact him and get more info (: he sounded like he needed a lot of people.

i'm not really sure how reliable it is though. like i said, he just walked up to me and started talking... lol. if anything you can round up a few other people to go together if there is an interview, so if anything bad goes on you can beat them up and get away quick. OKAY i think i am just being paranoid. ^^

well basically this came about when we were having a discussion in lang arts about education. or something like that. hahahahaha! so these are our new school rules, and assorted random doodles.

why is the weather so cold? not that i'm complaining in the daytime, but at night when i step out of the shower it's like O_O i wanna run back in and turn on the hot water. lol. anyways! i just watched tiramisu! ^^ and extreme japan and cardcaptor sakura the movie 2! YEAH MY LIFE IS JUST ONE BIG PARTY but actually i deserve it because i was working! honestly! except today took a lot less effort than usual. saw quite a few ny people. including carol. (: inhalation of secondhand smoke is a NONO. mich and i will EVIL EYE anyone who dares take our spot tomorrow because WE OWN IT. grroarrrrr! we will kick that person's ass! or take back the spot by taking all the person's flyers so that person has to go and get more! WOO! ehehehehe.

i am sunburnt. and upset ): i've never been sunburnt in my life! not even with tons of hours spent under the sun playing tennis...sigh. i can't quite deal with sunburns. i've tried aloe vera gel, ice, moisturiser, and cold water and i can still feel the burning. i suppose this is retribution for leaving my darling sunblock at home heeeeeelllllp

the things you learn from distributing mailers...

1. singaporeans should learn to smile more
2. before you decide to ask a distributor for directions, maybe you should look at your surroundings first. it's not very flattering to be directed to the building RIGHT ACROSS THE ROAD
3. after you get your directions, at least take a damn mailer!
4. raising of eyebrows doesnt quite translate to 'no, i don't want a mailer' for most normal people
5. people who grab mailers while they're running are cool. (makes me feel like i'm participating in a relay)
6. don't buy ice cream from the guy who sells it along the road in bugis junction. he smokes right over his ice cream bicycle-stall and scrubs his bucket using leaves plucked from the roadside bushes (EWW)
7. i'm in love with the guy who always comments that i've given him a mailer already, but still takes another from me <3333333333333 (that's 3 mailers in 2 days now XD)
8. when aunties see that people around them are getting flyers and they're not, they feel left out and obliged to ask you "zhe shi shen me lai de!" in the end, you feel pressured to give them one, even if they're only meant for the working class.
9. 5% of the people who take the mailers, ask what it is instead of reading the flyers in their hands

i thought this was cool when i saw it... and then i went home and checked it up on the net, and it turns out that these things are not totally random. the killer gerbil actually exists. ah well.

this is a product of 5hrs of standing on your feet distributing pink flyers plugging fragrances. it is a !GOOD EXPERIENCE!
 this is what you will get, satisfaction guaranteed:
1. an invalid left arm
from holding hundred+ flyers at one time while your right hand holds it out to the people you target and you will them to take it. or else. this also will manifest in you not being able to pick up your drink with your left hand, as michelle and cheryl can testify to.
2. dead feet
by the 3.5th hour cheryl was doing things like tiptoing, alternating between grass and pavement - i think the people all thought i was insane.
3. interesting observations
sharing a cigarette with your boyfriend is A. not cool. it is also B. not romantic. GROSS???
caucasians are friendly, but they seldom take the flyers. good for the trees. not for our left arms, though.
christmas songs played in mos burger alternate between downright disgusting (think elmo squeaking out "ALL I WAN FOR CHRISMAS IS MIE TWO FRONT TEETH" over and over and over) or send you to sleep. of course, michellee rightfully pointed out that when you are sleepy every song is a sleepy song. BUT! cheryl still sticks to her belief that lines like "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" and "iiiiii'm dreaming of a white christmassss" are naturally sleep inducing. (:

project runway up nextttt ^^ gonna shower. more soon. tmr we're back to our happy feet-and-left-arm killing session! i can hardly wait. hahahaha.

yozzup; all those people who said you'll be coming for the movie, you better turn up. if not wenqi will kick your ass. just set my handphone alarm to wake me up at 8.30 tomorrow. right. what are the odds of that happening? i'll hit the snooze button carefully a few zillion times, walk to another room to bury my face in the pillow on another bed and HEY before you know it, it's already 9 plus - if i'm lucky. if i'm not, i probably didn't hit the snooze button, and i accidentally switched the alarm off to wake up at maybe 11, HORRIFIED. no, i can't be horrified. only the other half of micheryl can be horrified at waking up because she didn't even know she fell asleep. ehehe. ^^ what i will do is scramble out of bed and be annoyed with myself and then i shall look at the stack of stuff i'm supposed to have started going through 2 hours ago and go... DAMN i think i'm in deeeeep trouble. i hope i don't wake up with a sore throat like i did this morning. fffffffft. i hate this feeling. ;_; go 'way, sore throat.

decided to blog so that you guys know that i'm still alive. HAHAHA...yujun deal with it, my empire survives yet!

been going out for the past 3 days, doing tons of nonsense and shopping shopping shopping. i'm seriously going broke T_T...on friday i bought a KT Tunstall CD (which totally annoys me to look at now coz of the discovery that i can't play it on my com. UGH), on sat i bought dido and jack johnson CDs and on sunday (i grew smarter) and made my dad pay for the stuff i bought from topshop and my 2 pairs of earrings XD. yay for daddies and their wallets!!! ♥

saturday was the most exciting by far. went out with sewyl and ness for lunch and shopping, did lots of crazy things. first we started posing in the winter selection in topshop, wearing gloves, scarves and hats, not forgetting the weirdo snake print hairband, then we started taking pics. cheryl and i were half expecting the salesladies to chase us out of the shop lol. the pics turned out nicely, ness thinks we look like we're in a different country (:

next was when we stopped at mos burger for drinks. i cant remember what it was exactly that led to her saying it, but vanessa suddenly exclaimed "I AM SHAMELESS!" LOLLLLLL~! later on, my fingers were cold from my drink, so when i tried to rest my face in my hands, i stretched my fingers such that they didnt contact with my face. apparently to vanessa, i looked like i was trying to imitate a flower --" then she tried to get me back into the pose so that cheryl could take a pic, i didnt want to, so we made a deal (which i personally feel i got the better end of) -- she would let cheryl take a video of her confessing to her shamelessness in exchange for a pic of me in the "flower pose". now micheryl totally has the perfect blackmail material on ness ^^ come to think of it...cheryl was probably the only one who lived past the day without much embarrassment!
(note for ness: we need to do some plotting against cheryl)

close to the end of our outing, we needed a break from walking, but there was no empty benches with air conditioning, so ness suggested that we sit in...the waiting area in the SIA ticket booking place in paragon! it was so amusing coz the place was very empty and there were so many free booths, which made it kinda obvious that we weren't waiting for our turn to buy tickets! to make things worse, one of the staff suddenly sat down behind the empty booth right before us! thankfully, no one arested us and later on when we were taking pics again, we took one of the funny guy behind the booth and ... it made him look like he was wearing a lampshade for a hat! haha

outings with cheryl and ness are funfunfun~ go out with me and do crazy things! (--> this does not apply to solo outings with wenqi. we ABSOLUTELY cannot go out together alone.)
